Mr. Joseph Edward "BUCK" Norris, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 28, 2018 in the Haven Hospice Care Center.

Born and raised in Columbia County, he was the son of the late Benjamin and May Bell Denmark Norris.

Edward had worked as a supervisor for the Florida Department of Transportation for thirty-three years prior to his retirement. He loved wood working, fishing and potting plants in his spare time. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time with his family and reading to his grandchildren. He was a member of the Deep Creek Advent Christian Church.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Florence Norris Register, J.B. Norris and Robert Norris.

He is survived by his wife of 64 Years, Christine King Norris; sons, Ronald (Barbara) Norris and Kenneth Norris; his daughter, Brenda Larson (David), his sister Annie Belle Raulerson and brother, Donald (Rae) Norris. Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. Numerous other special family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Norris will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Deep Creek Advent Christian Church with Pastor Howard Thomas and Lt. Col. Eddie Norris officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Deep Creek Advent Church or Haven Hospice of Lake City.
