Mrs. Rosalind Renee Gandy Williams, daughter of the late Perry and Vivian Jones Gandy was born in Darlington, SC on January 14, 1951. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Rosalind attended the public schools of Darlington, and was a 1969 graduate of St. John’s High School. She was an active member of Mayo High School, Class of 1969. After graduating, she attended Michigan State and worked as a paralegal for several years before moving back to Darlington in 1988.

In addition to her parents, Perry and Vivian Gandy, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Otis and Carrie Jones; paternal grandparents, G.P. and Sarah Gandy; and her aunts and uncles.

Rosalind leaves to cherish her memories an adopted daughter, Lakeya (Fredrick) Rousseau of Darlington; one uncle, Mr. Charles Jarmon of Washington, DC; one aunt, Mrs. Mable Carter of St. Paul Minnesota; two godsisters, Barbara (Harvey) Franklin and Jo Ann (Laverne) Knox of Florence; a godson, Lamontrel Mack of Darlington, and a host of cousins, friends, and a special friend, Pamela Johnson.
