Shirley A. Shelton, age 85, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery. She was born on March 15, 1935 in Lynchburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gail and Hazel (Brust) Davidson. She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ and was a 68 year member of the Order of Ohio Eastern Star Hillsboro Chapter 441. She is survived by her husband, Paul Shelton whom she married on June 13, 1954; two daughters, Connie McGarvey of New Mexico and Lisa (David) Griego of Hillsboro; one son, Kelly Shelton of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan McGarvey, Aubrey and Tyler (Sara) Griego; one great granddaughter, Everly Rose Griego and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Jason Shelton; one daughter, Kathy Ann Shelton; one brother and two sisters. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24 at the Barnes Cemetery in Fairview with Alex Butler officiating. The Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro is serving the family.
