LORAINE, Ill. -- Mrs. Joy E. Hudson, 94, of North Adams Home, formerly of Loraine, died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday (July 21, 1983) in the home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1889, in Loraine, the daughter of James T. and Dora Lemon McClelland. She married Ira Hudson on March 18, 1908, in Quincy . He died Feb. 25, 1974.
Mrs. Hudson attended Washington School near Loraine. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Loraine and the former Rebekah Lodge of Loraine.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Mildred) Boekhaus of Bowen; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was also preceded by a half brother.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in Curry Funeral Home in Mendon, conducted by the Rev. John D. Bainum. Burial will be in Curless Cemetery near Loraine. Pallbearers were Carl and Lloyd Hoffman, Harold Wear, Lewis Halsey, William E. Wilcox, and Gary Myers.
Memorials may be made to North Adams Home.
