Elizabeth Anne Philpott of Winston-Salem died suddenly at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Wednesday, April 21, 2004. She was born Jan. 23, 1958, the daughter of Harry Woodrow and Emma Coltrane Philpott. "Beth," as she was affectionately called, graduated with honors from Reynolds High School in 1975 and attended UNC at Chapel Hill. Ms. Philpott worked as a graphic designer and production manager in the field of advertising and most recently was a free-lance graphic designer. She was noted for her creative artistic abilities and her attention to detail. She is survived by her parents; a brother, Stephen Philpott and wife, Susan, of Norcross Ga.; and her sisters, Dr. Caroline Philpott and husband, Kevin Dwyer, of Bethesda, Md., and Catherine Bossong and husband, Brooks, of Winston-Salem. She had five nieces, Caitlin and Megan Dwyer, Sarah and Claire Philpott and Avery Bossong. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 23, at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Visitation with family will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Dr. Earl Wilson Jr. will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Forsyth County Humane Society, 61 Miller St., Winston-Salem, NC 27104, and to Mount Tabor United Methodist Church. Vogler & Sons Reynolda Road Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
