It's with great sadness and enormous love that we share the passing of our mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother, godmother, and friend, Donna Wagner.
Donna M. Wagner, age 70 of Hastings, died peacefully at home on Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2020.
Donna, the daughter of Arvie (Bud) and Dorothy Frandrup, was born on October 21, 1949, in Hastings, MN.
Donna was a talented artist, gardener, and piano player. She loved golfing and playing cards with her friends.
After high school, Donna worked briefly as a realtor before starting a respected 25 year career at Dakota County Abstract where she worked alongside her sisters LuAnn and Linda.
On May 25th, 1968, she married the love of her life, Paul Wagner. Together they had three children, who in turn, gave her five grandchildren - her greatest passion. She will be remembered by all that knew her as a kind friend and a selfless caretaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie; brother Bob.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Paul; her children, Kim Berg (Darin), Curt Wagner (Michele), and Gena Young (Pete); grandsons, John and Luke; granddaughters, Haley, Taylor, and Charlie; siblings, Rich, LuAnn, Linda, Dave, Danny, and Bruce; and many, many friends and family members who she loved, and who loved her.
Due to COVID, a PRIVATE Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings. Interment, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Face coverings will be mandatory at the church.
To view the Funeral Mass live, go to the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel Facebook page at 11:00 AM on Tuesday (6/30). The video will be posted following the Mass at www.hastingsmnfuneral.com where you can also view the memorial video and sign the online tribute page for Donna.
A huge thank you goes to her cancer care teams in Rochester and Hastings, and to the Allina Hospice Team for their consistent loving and professional care - a special thank you to Holly and Amanda.
Our family is incredibly grateful for each of you. Your cards, calls, prayers, weekly chocolate chip cookies (you know who you are), the kind text-messages, and the hot meals. Each of those gestures of kindness touched our Mom, and us, more than you know.
