Bobby Gene Sparks, age 83, of 825 Hickory Mountain Road, Sparta, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem. Bobby was born October 8, 1936 in Alleghany County to the late James Woodrow and Ellen Zelle Ward Sparks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Carroll Dean Sparks. Survivors include his wife, Venaree Sparks of the home; a son, Allen Sparks and wife Deana of Sparta and Yakinville , NC. Funeral Services to honor the life of Bobby will be held at 3 pm Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Zion Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Kamoda officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery.
