Obituary for Mary Ann Richard
Mary Ann Richard, 87, of Orange, passed away on June 25, 2020, at her home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Joey Hargrave. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on April 23, 1933, she was the daughter of Wilfred Mulhollan and Mary Emily (Armstrong) Mulhollan. Mary graduated from Stark High School and went on to become a secretary for Orange Police Department and also worked at County National Bank. She was the proud owner of Welcome Friends gift shop in Bridge City for many years and enjoyed doing crafts, decorating, and working in her yard. Mary was a part of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Bridge City and could always be seen dancing and singing her heart out. She adored her family above all and spent many days cooking for them. Mary also known as “MawMaw Mary Ann” to her precious and well-loved grandchildren and great grandchildren never missed a thing in their lives. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by loving husband of 68 years, Joseph A. Richard, Jr.; parents, Wilfred and Mary Emily Mulhollan; brother, Wilfred Jr. Mulhollan.

She is survived by children, Gary Richard and wife Karen, of Orangefield, Cheryl Fornols and husband John, of Orangefield, and Pam Broussard and husband Bill, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Shay Marze and husband Kelly, Jason Hardey, Jennifer Clarke and husband Paul, Philip Richard and wife Kristin, Scott Little and husband Modesto Silva, Tiffany Schlicher and husband Robert, Stephanie Blackburn and husband Caine, and Brad Broussard; great-grandchildren, Aidan Clarke, Ryleigh Clarke, Sterling Richard, Larsen Richard, Payton Marze, Macoy Marze, Karson Hardey, Branden Blackburn, Ethan Blackburn, Matthew Blackburn, Lathan Schlicher, Madisyn Schlicher, and Blair Broussard; brother, Wayne Mulhollan; and sister-in-law, Patsy Hall, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Aiden Clark, Branden Blackburn, Ethan Blackburn, Matthew Blackburn, Macoy Marze, and Lathan Schlicher. Honorary Junior pallbearers are Larsen Richard and Karson Hardey.
