Edna Anderson
June 4, 1919 - November 22, 2020

Edna Anderson, daughter of the late Lonzo Wolpers and Mina Duncan Wolpers, was born on June 4, 1919 in Zalma, Missouri, and departed this life on November 22, 2020 at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 101 years.

Mrs. Anderson retired from Bloomfield RXIV Schools, where she worked in the lunch room. She was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ and a resident of Dexter.

On July 26, 1940, in Essex, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Cotton Anderson. Mr. Anderson preceded her in death on November 30, 1994.

She is survived by two sons, Darrel Anderson and wife Kay of Bloomfield and Roger Anderson and wife Sherrie of Poplar Bluff; by his daughter, Cindy Gates and husband Mark of Dexter; by two daughters-in-law, Margaret Anderson of Sikeston and Marilyn Anderson of Dexter; by seventeen grandchildren, by forty-one great-grandchildren, and by seventeen great-great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Kenny Anderson, Phillip Anderson, and Larry Anderson; by two brothers, Erich Wolpers and Henry Wolpers; by three sisters, Naomi Gilliam, Hattie Hill, and Opal Miller; and by her great-grandson, Judson Carle.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with James Powell officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Cemetery in Dexter.

Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children's Home Inc., 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, Arkansas 72450-3319.

The Anderson family respectfully requests that everyone wear a mask.
