Deacon Lyman Dickerman and his wife, Vienna Sproat Dickerman, died in San Franisco, CA and were buried at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, per the Dickerman genealogy book "Families of Dickerman Ancestry: Descendants of Thomas Dickerman, an Early Settler of Dorchester, Massachusetts" (1897). But in 1901, the Laurel Hill Cemetery was forced out of San Francisco due to the rising demand for buildable land in San Francisco. Between 1901 and 1940, 35,000 people buried at Laurel Hill (now defunct) were moved to the Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma, CA.
