Barry attended schools in Fort Fairfield where he made many friends while active in Band, Stage Band, and other activities. He graduated from Fort Fairfield High School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years 1981-84. While in the Navy, he served onboard surface vessels as a sonar technician. After an Honorable Discharge, Barry was employed by Mikasa of Freeport, Maine Line Fence, and for many years the Muddy Rudder in Yarmouth. Barry was more recently employed by the Woodlands Country Club of Falmouth, and Grill 233 of Yarmouth. Barry made many friends over the years and those who knew him also knew he was exceptionally kind and a very giving person. Barry loved to go skiing, boating, and golfing with his friends and family. He also enjoyed listening to music, and watching sports, especially football.
Barry is survived by his mother, Marilyn Todd of Brunswick; his father and stepmother, Allison and Andrea Todd of Fort Fairfield; his older brothers, Wayne of Brunswick, Perrin and wife, Wendy, of Mars Hill, and their three children, Shannon, Conor, and Cameron; his younger brothers, Jeff and wife, Andrea, of Westbrook, and their son, Chandler, and Jason of Yarmouth; his stepsisters, Sherry and husband, Scott Fields, of Griswold, Conn., and their son, Noah, and Kelly Koziol and her daughter, Logan, of Fort Fairfield. Barry is also survived by several loving aunts and uncles, as well as many close cousins.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth.
