MRS. BELL SUCCUMBS FOLLOWING OPERATION
Mrs. Alma Daisy Bell, 31, wife of Earl Bell, residing at 1619 South K street, died at 6:__ o'clock last evening at the Mercy hospital following a _____ operation Wednesday morning.
Mrs. Bell was in a critical condition when she submitted to the operation and was unable to rally. She had been ill eighteen weeks.
The daughter of William and Stella Knotts, Mrs. Bell was born in Elwood on April 1, 1898.
She was married to Earl Bell in Elwood on December 24, 1918, who survives with one son, Harold, and the father, who resides in Charlotte, Mich. Two sisters and three brothers also are living. They are Herbert Knotts, Charlotte, Mich.; Eletta Regan, Detroit, Mich.; Ray Knotts, Mrs. Katherine Woods, Anderson, and Otto Knotts, Detroit.
Mr. Bell has been employed in Detroit and was there at the time of his wife's death. He arrived home today.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the residence. Rev. Francis B. Keicher, of the Episcopal church of Indianapolis, will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery. The body was removed to the Copher and Fesler funeral home to be prepared for burial.
