Mr. Lloyd Wayne Caldwell, age 77, of Brodhead, KY; passed away, Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his residence, with his family at his side.
Wayne was born on December 7, 1942 in Brodhead, KY; to the late Shirley Berdis and Dorothy Edna (Scott) Caldwell. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Providence Church of Christ, enjoyed yard work, especially running a weed eater, baseball, football, and basketball.
Those left to celebrate his life are his five sisters; Fern Caldwell of Brodhead, KY, Nina Burton Burkhart of Brodhead, KY, Mabel Cash of Brodhead, KY, Ethelene Caldwell of Brodhead, KY, Ella (Monroe) Barnett of Mt. Vernon, KY; special friend : Thelma Mullins; special care givers: Phyllis Lambdim and Tammy McGuire; two step-daughters: Darlene (Phillip) Spence of Fairfield, OH, Marlene Pryse of Fairfield, OH; nine step-grandchildren; one aunt: Christine Scott of South Carolina; along with many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Teddy Caldwell; a brother: Raymond Caldwell; four brothers-in-law: Roy Burton, William Burkhart, Jackie Cash, Carl Caldwell; and one niece: Regina Cash.
Visitation for Mr. Wayne Caldwell will be Friday, June 26, 2020 from 5-8pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Robbie Cable officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Wayne’s nephews: David Burton, Kenny Burton, Shannon Cash, Carlos Caldwell, Kelley Caldwell, and Kevin Caldwell. Honorary casket bearers are Monroe Barnett, Bobby Hayes, Doug Prewitt, and George Hiatt.
