HARRIS HAMPTONVILLE -- Mr. C. Norman Harris, 70, of Mountain View Church Road, died Thursday, November 25, 1999 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born November 21, 1929 in Yadkin County to O.E. Harris and Hazel Long Harris. Mr. Harris was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Spencer Harris. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Shirley W. Harris of the home; two daughters, Christine (Jackson) Bell of Sparta and Norma (Drew) Spears of Winston-Salem; two sons, Gary (Robinn) Harris and Ronnie (Shannon) Harris all of Yadkinville; five sisters, Geraldine Sasser, Carolyn (Dan) O'Conner all of Winston-Salem, Alice (Rex) Judd of Yadkinville, Doris (Leamon) Carter of Elkin, and Judy (John) Simmons of hamptonville; two brothers, James (Ann) Harris of Yadkinville and Earl (Dot) Harris of Winston-Salem; five grandsons; two step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters; one great-grandson; his mother, Hazel Harris of Yadkinville; a sister-in-law, Rosa Harris of Jonesville; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gentry Family Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim Tucker and Rev. Larry Lefler with burial in Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-0 p.m. Friday at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mtn. Rd. in Jonesville
