Page A 20 -----Margaret Gleason Shore- Margaret (Margie) Gleason Shore, ling time resident of PGA West, passed away in La Quinta CAL , on Oct. 11, 2017 at the age of 90 after a long full life. She was born om San Francisco to Dr. A. Lawrence and Florence Gleason in July of 1027 and grew up in Piedmont with younger brothers Brad and Bill. After graduating from Piedmont High, Margie attended U. C. Berkley where she was active in many campus activities and belonged to the Delta Gamma Sorority graduating in 1949. She met Nate Shore at Cal and they were married in 1950. Nate and Margie eventually settled in Pacific Palisades where they raised three children, Larry, Dave and Barbara.
Margie was always active playing tennis, paddle tennis and golf. In the desert she did water aerobics well into her 80's.. She was an expert and competitive bridge player and regularly beat her family members in her favourite board game Sequence..Margie and Nate loved to travel together. In their 67 years of marriage, they visited Europe, China, Africa, Tahiti, Mexico. Russia and the Galapagos islands. Margie also gave generously to her communities, volunteering as a as a docent for museums, raising money for charities, and reading with students in local schools.

Margie was a serious grammarian, art enthusiast, natural chef and hostess, needle-pointer extraordinaire, dedicated rose horticulturist, adventurer, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is remembered with love by her husband, Nathan Shore, children, Larry Shore and Dave Shore, grandchildren, Cameron Yuen-Shore, Jamie Yuen-Shore, and Savannah Shore, extended family and friends, and of course, her cherished dog and biggest fan, Bailey.
