Patricia Roma Lilley James,age 76, of Greenville, GA passed away, Monday June 23, 2020 at West Georgia Hospice, LaGrange, GA.
Mrs. James was born November 9, 1943 in Birmingham, AL the daughter of Leonard Marvin Lilley and Essie B. Railey Lilley. She was a retired secretary for the West Georgia RESA. Mrs. James was a member of County Line Church in Durand, GA.
She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered as a caregiver to all, she loved taking care of and helping everyone.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her father Leonard Marvin Lilley, mother Essie B. Railey Lilley Geter, her husband of 45 years Roy Leon James, Sr., sister Gail Mullins and brother Marvin Lee Lilley.
She is survived by her three sons Roy L. James, Jr. of Warm Springs, Steven Dale (Lisa) James of Woodbury, GA; Kerry (Suzanne) James of Greenville, GA. sister Edith P. Rhondes of Newnan, GA; brother David Doyle Geter of Gulfport, MS; six grandchildren one great-grandson and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Graveside Memorial services for Mrs. James will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 28, 2020 at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Warm Springs with the Rev. Norman Waddell, the Rev. Brian Geter and James Jackson officiating the service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we ask that all attending please respect social distancing at the service.
