Paula Ann Mills, 73, of Franktown, Virginia, passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Her parents were the late Jack O. Mills and the late Carla (Fleckenstein) Mills of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She was a retired Nassawadox town clerk.

A native of Muskegon, Michigan, Paula was a member of the local Coast Guard Auxiliary for almost 20 years and a founder of the Northampton Free Library in Nassawadox, where she worked until it was turned into a branch of the Eastern Shore Public Library. Prior to that, she worked as a medical technologist at Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital.

Paula was an avid collector of fine china and teapots, an accomplished seamstress, and a lifelong fan of baseball.

Survivors include two daughters; Angie Heady of Chincoteague, Virginia and Kris Shepherd of Vancouver, Washington, two sisters; Andrea Coulson of Salisbury, Maryland and Shelley Mills of Los Angeles, California, one brother, Bruce Mills of Paso Robles, California, and 3 grandchildren; Robert Heady, Kyle Shepherd and Drew Shepherd.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
