Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years Kerry Bowden, their children James M. (Katie) and Lisa Bowden Emidy; his sisters J. Carol Schweigert, and Linda Leigh; grandchildren Miguel A. Martinez, Lauren N. Emidy, Nicholas A.J. Emidy, Ryan J. Emidy, Ethan M. Crawford, Jackson C., Molly M., Megan M., Moira, Miriana, Mercedes, Marisol, Joseph, and John.

Bob graduated from New Mexico State University with his B.S.E.E. and M.S.E.E. and worked for Goodyear Aerospace, Adroit Systems, and retired from S.R.A. He took pride in his work on the radar system of the SR71 Blackbird. he enjoyed hiking, biking, reading, and photography. Bob loved his family well and encouraged his children and grandchildren "to make the world a better place."

The family invites you to donate in memory of Robert to the Barrow Women's Board, 3219 E. Camelback Rd. #417, Phoenix, Az 85018. Please indicate the donation is for Parkinson's Research in memory of Robert M. Bowden.

A visitation for Robert will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Dayton, Ohio 45432, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
