HARDIN - Alexander Hert, 60, died Wednesday of a heart attack in his Hardin home. He was born Oct. 14, 1911, at Huntley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Hert.
The family moved to Custer and Hardin where he attended schools. He married Sarah Shilriff April 9, 1931, in Hardin. They lived in Dayton, Wyo., until 1946 when they returned to the Hardin area where he farmed. He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed Church U.C.C. Funeral services will be 2 p.m, Saturday from the Bullis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Edmund Kuppinger officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Hardin. Survivors include the widow; two sins, Jack, Roseberg, Ore., and Howard, Cheyenne, Wyo.; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Schanaman, Hardin; three brother, George, 4063 Riverside Drive, Billings, Sam, 1415 First Ave. S.W., Billings, and Carl, Yakima, Wash.; and nine grandchildren..
