Lester Newton Dies; Headed Dental Firm

Lester W. Newton, retired president of S. D. Bell Dental Manufacturing Co. in Atlanta died Tuesday in a private hospital, Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Spring Hill. The Rev. Jack Bozeman will officiate and burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Mr. Newton who lived at 5969 Chamblee-Dunwoody Road in Dunwoody, was a past chairman and treasurer of the official board of the Dunwoody Methodist Church. He was a member of Battle Hill Lodge 523, Free and Accepted Masons, and Yaarab Temple. Survivors include his wife, the former Martina Bourn; three sons, Charles Newton and Wesley Newton, both of Atlanta, and Arthur Newton, Jackson, Miss., and a sister, Mrs. Mae Shelton, Atlanta.
