Abby was born in Denver, Colorado on February 1, 1959, to Jim and Charlotte (Jensen) Mozena. Abby graduated, in 1977, from Mapleton High School in Colorado. Abby was on the track team, a cheerleader, and graduated a year early with honors.
In 1978, Abby gave birth to daughter, Carla. In 1985, Abby married her husband of 35 years, Max Pierce, and she gave birth to her second child, Max.
Abby had many jobs throughout her lifetime, but she had her most successful years working at Brittany Hills a high-end banquet restaurant catering for the likes of the Denver Broncos, and many other notable names. She was a hard worker and a great friend to many. In 1997, Abby was diagnosed with M.S. along with having diabetes, thyroid issues, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis. Abby was a fighter, living most of her life in pain, still never making excuses, staying successful.
Abby later retired with husband Max Pierce and moved to Iowa. She wanted to live a nice relaxing life away from city life and sirens. Her hobbies included doing cross-stitching, cooking, and gardening. She loved her 3 cats; Smokey, Patches, Rockie, and her dog, Jimmy. She also loved to collect Barbies, Coca Cola antiques, and all things Christmas. She loved watching Dr. Phil, Murder Mysteries, cooking shows, and her favorite “The Voice”.
She will be missed by all her family and friends. She spent her whole life doing everything she could to make everyone around her happy. Now she finally gets to have peace and happiness, and most of all pain-free in Heaven.
Abby will never be forgotten and has made a positive impact on everyone around her and we'll all love and miss her very much.
She is survived by her husband, Max; children, Max and Carla; cousins, Steve and Bobby. She was preceded in death by her parents.
