He was born July 6, 1978 in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Thomas and Cindy (Hartley) Leonard.
He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a professor in the Philosophy Department prior to 2012.
Survived by: his father, Tom Leonard Sr of Cedar Falls; his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Steve Ewing of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Joe Leonard of Fairfield; and grandparents, Joy and Richard Workman of Barron, WI.
Preceded in death by: a sister, Cristina Leonard; grandparents: Joe and Dorothy Leonard, Richard Sr. and Donna Hartley, and John Ewing.
Memorial Services: 3 p.m. Friday, June 26th at Richardson Funeral Service with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Private inurnment at a later date in the Wadena (Iowa) Cemetery.
