BUFFALO — Funeral services for Ruth E. Mallan of Buffalo, formerly of Salamanca, who died Friday (Aug. 17,1990) were held Sunday evening at the Colonial Memorial Chapels Inc., 3033 South Park Ave., Lackawanna. The Rev. Donald J. Fitzgerald, officiated.
Born April 19,1915 in Salamanca, Mrs. Mallan was a daughter of the late John and Germonda Jaekle Ahrens. She was married to Robert C. Mallan, who predeceased her.
Mrs. Mallan was a bookkeeper for the former John F. Ahrens Sons Meat Market at 133 Main St. in Salamanca for many years.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Robert Ahrens of 190 Highland Ave., Patricia Ahrens Nickola of 113 Division St. and Sue Ahrens Cain of 18 Jackson Ave. and a sister-in-law, Lois Ahrens of 30 Division Street, all of Salamanca. She was predeceased by seven brothers, John, Howard, Karl, William (Pete), Henry, Martin and George and two sisters, Marion and Margarette.
