Sharon L. Lane, 82 of Sioux Falls, SD passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Sanford Foundation Hospice Cottage.

Per Sharon’s request, there will be private family services at Miller Funeral Home with burial by her husband, William, at Hills of Rest Cemetery.

Sharon Lee Davis, daughter of Charles and Marjorie (Hetrick) Davis, was born December 25, 1937 in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Washington High School.

Sharon was united in marriage with William Lane on October 31, 1969 at Mitchell, SD. They lived in Sioux Falls where she was a homemaker. As the children grew up she began working at a few different jobs like West Sioux Grocery, Taco Bravo, Younkers and The Donut Hole.

Family was so very important to her. In the younger years they enjoyed camping and family times at Roy Lake. Sharon enjoyed traveling. In their later years, they enjoyed staying in Arizona in the winter..

She was a past member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, and the Moose Auxiliary. She currently was a member of The Ransom Church where she served as a volunteer and enjoyed her church family.

Grateful for having shared her life are eight children, Robert (Anna) Philips, Jr., Sioux Falls, SD, Michael (Diane) Philips, Sioux Falls, SD, Scott (Tori) Philips, Bristol, TN, Jill (Jeff) Philips-Cordell, Sioux Falls, SD, Penni (Mark) Taubert, Beaver Creek, MN, Greg (Julie) Lane, Sioux Falls, SD, Keith Lane, Sioux Falls, SD, David Lane, Sioux Falls, SD; son-in-law, Randy Wratz, Sioux Falls, SD; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents; daughter, Sheila Wratz; two brothers, Charles Davis Jr., and Ronald Davis.
