He was born in Clarksburg on July 8, 1946, a son of the late Charles Lewis Hall and Trannice M. McClain Hall.
As an early birthday present on June 10, 1966, Tommy married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Linda D. Messenger. Together they shared 54 years and 11 days of marriage.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Linda; two children, Douglas Lewis Hall and Donna Brackman and husband, Dennis; five grandchildren, Marc Brackman, Charlinda Benson, Tyler Hall, Brandyn Hall and Sarah Hall; two great-grandsons, Dexter and Calvin Hall; three siblings, Michael Hall and wife, Janie, Chuck Hall and wife, Joyce and Star Pemberton and husband, Kenneth and several nieces and nephews.
Tommy graduated from Bristol High School in 1965 and in the spring of 1967, Tommy joined the United States Army. He spent the next three years serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War. After being released from duty, Tommy and Linda settled and made their home in Harrison County where they enjoyed raising their two children. He worked as a Central Office Technician with C & P Telephone Company, which later became Bell Atlantic and finally Verizon. Tommy retired from Verizon after 30 years of employment. He was a member of Meadow Valley United Methodist Church and the Salem Riffle and Pistol Club. Spending time outdoors was Tommy’s favorite pastime. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was most at peace when surrounded by the Wild and Wonderful hills of West Virginia. Tommy was faithful and inspirational and will be missed a great deal.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Rosenbaum Family House and mailed to 30 Family House Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505 or to Amedisys Hospice Care and mailed to 67 Casino Dr. Ste. 102, Anmoore, WV 26323.
