Daniel Lester Shea
August 6, 1953 - June 12, 2020

Daniel Lester Shea, of St. Louis, Missouri, went to be with his Lord at the age of sixty-six. Daniel departed this life suddenly, Friday June 12, 2020 at his home with his partner Susan by his side.
He was the widower of Debra Lynn Shea; they shared thirty-nine loving years of marriage together.

Daniel was born August 6, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Nina F (Staples) Shea and the late Matthew William Shea.

Daniel was such a great person that there are four people who are his name sake. He was a wonderful family man; known for stopping what he was doing to put family first. Many people who interacted with Daniel felt as if he was their second father or their immediate family. Daniel and his partner Sue were preparing for a new chapter that included traveling together, blending their families, and being available to family and friends throughout the United States. What motivated Daniel was to be needed and to share his experiences and knowledge. Daniel’s legacy will live on with those he touched. He was most proud of his children, the loving friendship he had with them, and the unbreakable bond they have with each other.

He is survived by partner Susan; three children Angela (David), Laura (William), and M. Shea; six grandchildren; sister Ellen (Daniel); special brother R. M. Shea ; sister-in-law K.Shea; three nieces and nine nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

Daniel Shea was predeceased by wife Debra Lynn Shea; parents Nina F. and Matthew William Shea; and cherished brother Brian Shea.
