Mrs Margaret A. Simpson
On Sunday morning May 28th, Mrs Margaret Ann Simpson, widow of the late John Henry Simpson passed away in Almonte in her 88th year. The late Mrs Simpson was born in Torbolton Township on Jan 4th, 1874. She was the daughter of the late Mary Hyndman and James Lowe. On Feb 7th, 1900, Mrs Simpson married the late John Henry Simpson and for many year they lived on their farm on the ninth line of Ramsay. Mr Simpson predeceased her in June 1940 and Mrs Simpson moved to Almonte to live in 1943. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Bert and Graham of Almonte and Myrtle, Mrs A.J. Milligan of Markham; also one sister, Miss Helen Lowe of Ottawa and two brothers, William Lowe of Vancouver and Moses Lowe of Fairview, Alberta. Mrs Simpson was a faithful member of Baptist Church many years. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, May 30th from the Comba Funeral Home. The service was conducted by her pastor Rev W. Smith. Burial took place in the Auld Kirk Cemetery.
