James E. Goff, 72 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, June 20th, 2020 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
James was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 19th, 1947, son of Thelma Goff. He was of the Baptist faith, and loved to fish, tinkering and scraping, but most of all cherished his family time.
James was survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maggie Goff; two sons, Hershel (and Debbie) Goff and Marty (and Mary) Goff; two brothers, Bobby Goff and Harry Goff; two sisters, Mary Goff and Pearl (and Don) Beshear; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Goff, who departed this life on September 14th, 2016; and one son, Rodney Tomose Goff, who departed this life on Friday, September 16th, 2016.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2020 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Burial followed in the Goff Cemetery.
