Mary Frances Thompson, age 99, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Friday June 12, 2020. Mary Frances was born February 18, 1921 in Alabama.
Mary Frances is survived by her daughters: Barbara (Wayne) Cook and Beverly (Richard) Butler. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Thompson. Earlier in her life, Mrs. Thompson and her husband were active in the ministries of Cloverdale Baptist Church and later Frazier United Methodist Church. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and even bowling. Mary Frances had a deep appreciation of flowers and even found beauty in artificial arrangements. She loved sweets, her grandchildren and cooking for her family. Her roast beef was a family favorite. A family member said, "She never met a stranger and could always find something to connect with the people she met. She was a wonderful Christian lady, a good hostess, the best Mother ever and will be so much missed."

A celebration of life graveside service for Mary Frances will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL.

Serving as pallbearers are Chad Cook, Carson Cook, Heath Weldon, Josh Sexton, Buck Cook and Brett Cook with Clay Cook as honorary pallbearer.
