She was born May 7, 1932 in Hiltons, VA to the late Thomas Henry and Bertie Osborne Laughlin.
Early on Mrs. Greene worked at W. T. Grant Co. and later in life she devoted her life to her home and family.
She lived in Colonial Heights where she enjoyed biking, walking with friends and neighbors, and loved being with and seeing her grandson grow up.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Ray Kenneth Greene, Sr.; granddaughter, Alicia Marie Greene; sister, Emogene Cox; brothers, Joe Laughlin, Henry Laughlin, Ezra Laughlin and John Laughlin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ray Kenneth Greene, Jr. and wife, Gloria; grandson, Eric Greene; several nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Entombment Committal Service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Chapel Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View United Methodist Church, 4405 Orebank Rd., Kingsport, TN 37664.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Amedisys Hospice.
