Mary Jo Troxell Garrett, 79, passed away at home on June 16, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on April 5, 1941, in Monticello, Kentucky, to the home of her parents Chester and Pauline Polson.
First and foremost, our mother would want everyone to know how much she loves you. Our mom was a blessing to so many people. She had a very charismatic personality, infectious laugh, large beautiful eyes that could see your wonderful qualities, and, most of all, a deep love for all the family, both immediate and extended. Mom was an incredible storyteller. She loved pulling pranks and didn’t mind being pranked. She loved to travel, play games, go to casinos and be around friends, family, and of course, her dog Mitzi. We will miss our mom, but, let it be known, she will not be forgotten for many generations to come. We Love You, Mom.
Mary is survived by her children Ronald Troxell and wife Connie, Reid Troxell and wife Sabrina, and Tonya Etress and husband Earl; 11 grandchildren Michael Edmiston, Dustin Edmiston, Katie Devine, Megan Crowell, Heather Swinn, Wes Troxell, Adam Troxell, Tori Troxell, Kenzley Troxell, Tammy Meraz, Tommy Loggins, Rhonda Troxell, and Kimmy Troxell; 14 great-grandchildren Jessica McKenzie, Brittany Wright, Brock Troxell, Benson Troxell, Harley Swinn, Katelyn Devine, Evan Devine, Gracie Edmiston, Stella Edmiston, Hadlee Edmiston, Landon Edmiston, Chandler Edmiston, Kaleb Crowell, and MeKayla Crowell; two great-great grandchildren Brynn Wright and Bryson Wright; sisters Faye Jones and husband Willard and Donna Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. Mary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Randall Polson and Larry Polson; and sister Shirley Polson.
