She was a long-standing member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and served as choir member, deaconess and church mother.
Patricia had a love for the game of basketball her favorite ball-player was the late Kobe Bryant. She also loved golf with her favorite golfer, Tiger Woods and the game of tennis with her favorite the Williams sisters. She enjoyed listening to gospel music to name a few Take Me to the King and Rough Side of the Mountain. She spent hours watching cooking and game shows, stories, and sports. She also spent hours talking to family and friends on the phone. Patricia was known for her cooking especially her delicious homemade pound cakes and rolls.
Patricia was preceded in death her parents and her siblings, Mary Clarke, Leon Townes and Charles Townes.
Patricia was married to Lee Daniel Johnson, Sr. for 61 years and to this union seven children were born, Lee Jr. (Brenda), Kevin (Patrice), Patricia (Ralph), Stephanie, Stefan (Julia), Anthony (Ileana), and Ashley (Anita). Patricia also leaves to cherish her memories: grandchildren, Breanna, Lee Daniel III, Rachel, Nicholas, Jada, Dennis, Xavier (Marisa), Stefan Jr., Julius, Jasmine, Mike, JC, Michael (Aaliyah), Cameron and Jay; great grandchildren, Lilly Ann, Juliana, Lee Daniel IV, Declan, Liam, Adrian and Kaylani; siblings, John H. Townes, Mable V. Cooper (Howard), Mary Frances Johnson, Dorothy Smith, Herbert Townes (Emma), and Lorenzo Townes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 200 Old Hundred Road, Midlothian, VA, the Rev. Wayne L. Moody, Pastor, eulogist. The interment to follow in the church cemetery.
