Charles Andrew "Felix" Brasch was born 28 August 1884 in York, PA, to John J. and Maria V. E. (nee Dietrich) Brasch. He is the fourth of their seven children, with three brothers, John, William, and Joseph, and three sisters, Mary, Margaret, and Anna.

He married Agnes Therese Benzing, the daughter of Christian and Anna (nee Birk) Benzing, in 1906. They had thirteen children: Felix (died in infancy), Felix, Joseph, Agnes, Matilda (died in infancy), Albert, Joseph, Charles, Leona, William, Christian, Lawrence, Richard, and John.

Felix worked as an erector at a shipyard and later as a general laborer.

Felix died 2 October 1969, aged 85, and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA, with his wife, sister-in-law Emma, and brother-in-law Sylvester. He was predeceased by his wife, and children Felix, Felix, Matilda, and Charles. He was survived by his sons, Joseph (Catherine), Albert (Alice), William (Rita), Christian (Marjorie), Lawrence (Evelyn), Richard (Sarah), and John (Diana) Brasch, and daughters, Agnes (Daniel) Murphy and Leona (Joseph) Martino. Also survived by 30 grandchildren.

Gravesite Details

Charles F. A. Brasch is buried in a plot owned by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law. He and his wife's name were never inscribed on the stone.
