Jo Ann Rainey, age 78, of Holiday Island, Arkansas left this world to join Jesus in heaven on May 9, 2020. She was born July 17, 1941 in Addison, Texas to Bryan and Johnnie (O’Neal) Pirtle.

Jo Ann and her husband, Thomas Allen Rainey, were united in marriage on August 6, 1960. They moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and built a home on Beaver Lake in 1995. In 2012 they sold their home and moved to Peachtree Village in Holiday Island, AR.
She is survived by daughter Christi Lynne Mangner and husband T.J of Vancouver, Washington; son Christopher Scott Rainey and wife Christi of North Richland Hills, Texas; six grandchildren Thomas Ryan Adams, Kelsey Mangner, Maddie Mangner, Caitlin Rainey, Aleya Rainey and Judah Rainey; sister Ruby Staley and husband Don of Plantersville, Texas.
The is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Allen Rainey; parents Jennings Bryan and Johnnie Maudine Pirtle.
Due to Covid-19 Memorial dinner services will be held at a later this summer at her church. date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holiday Island Baptist Church, PO Box 3129, Holiday Island, AR 72631 or the Good Shepard Humane Society, 6486 Hwy 62 E, Eureka Springs, AR 72632.
