Christina Johnson, 91, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 am June 18, 2020 at Mount Vernon Health Care Center.
She was born May 13, 1929 in Mount Vernon to the late Fred and Pansey Johnson.
Christina married Bernard Wesley Johnson on September 26, 1946 in Mount Vernon.
They were blessed with 62 years of marriage before he preceded her in death by April 6, 2009.
Christina is survived by her children, C. N. Johnson of Mount Vernon, A. Johnson and wife, D. of Mount Vernon, B. T. Johnson and wife, P. of San Jose, Illinois, M. Johnson and wife, D. of Mount Vernon, Linda and husband, Terry of Benton, Illinois, Rhoda of Georgia, and Brenda and husband, Keith of Rockford, Illinois; and fourteen grandchildren.
Christina was a member of the Mount Vernon Church of God.
She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois.
Interment will follow.
