Willie Lee Carr, 83, of Paducah, TX, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2020.

He was born December 25, 1936 to Roscoe and Rosie Carr in Mt. Vernon, Texas.



Willie was married to Lanetta on August 12, 1961 and they were married for 58 years.

Willie served in the Navy, worked at Baldridge Bakery, ICX Motor Freight, and was a drapery installer for many years.

He enjoyed woodworking and spent many an hour in his tool shed, coffee cup nearby and whistling a tune. He loved spending time with his family, and playing with his grandchildren. He never met a stranger, always had smile, and could talk a country mile.

Willie was a member of the First Assembly of God in Paducah, TX. He will be remembered for his beautiful voice, the gospel songs he often sang and his impassioned sermons from the pulpit.

Survivors include; His wife, Lanetta; Brother – Floyd Carr of Shallowater; Sister – Margaret Newman of Fannin County; Sons - Gregory Lee Carr of Goldthwaite, TX, Cregory Lynn Carr and his wife Mary of Chandler, TX , Daughter – Joy Elizabeth Freeman and her husband Jim of Harper TX; Grandchildren – Kevin Lee Carr and wife Courtney, Jennifer Lynn Williams and husband Matthew, Andrew Stephen Carr and wife Lorel, Stephanie Nicole Kelley and husband Marion, Austin James Rowe and wife Heather, Tori Barber and husband Ross, Jana Michelle Caldwell and husband Brent. Great grandchildren – Charley and Gus Kelley, Ethan and Kaelyn Williams, Willow Carr, Grayson Carr, Riley Barber and Avery and Landry Caldwell.
