Graveside services for Tony Morris, 80, of Sellersburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at the Green Hill Cemetery in Bedford. He died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
He was a native of Oolitic, Ind., a veteran of the U.S. Navy CB's, served during World War II, and retired as a chemical operator from the Liquid Air Company, Clarksville. He was a member of the American Legion Post 204, Sellersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Morris; a daughter, Jill Elliott, Sellersburg; a granddaughter, April Dawn Mutchie; three step granddaughters, Jodie Nava, Carrie Newby and Amanda Elliott; two great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.
Visitation at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Color Guard Unit of the American Legion Post 204, Sellersburg.
