Jerry Lynn Bettge, 68 of Flat passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Scott and White Hospital A Memorial Service will be held 1:00-3:00pm Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Gatesville Funeral Home Chapel.
Jerry Lynn Bettge was born February 5, 1945 to the late Rudolph and Ruth Bettge. He was born and raised in the Gatesville/Jonesboro area, graduating from Jonesboro HS. He was employed at ER Carpenter in Temple at a young age, being committed and loyal to one company until retirement. Jerry enjoyed raising and spending time with his two daughters, Shanna and Leah. He enjoyed Enduro dirt bike racing and fishing bass tournaments. Jerry was a real outdoors man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Gilbert.
Survived by his two daughters; Shanna Kopp and husband Matthew, Leah Karl and husband Robert; a brother, Jim Bettge; four grandchildren Haley, Kortney, Alyssa, Kadence.
