Troy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended Anointed Blessed Baptist Church in the city of Sacramento California. Troy was an usher and a pastor-aid to the Pastor. Troy and Rosie were blessed in their home by having their son Brian Troy Green as he was named. Brian brought joy and a blessing to the Green Family, which we loved, and Troy especially adored him since he was a boy.
Troy worked for the Department of Motor Vehicle Headquarters in Sacramento as a Servant Assistant as an Electronic Mail Deliverer for 2O years, until his retirement in March of 2011. Troy was also enlisted in the United States Navy beginning January 13, 1969 and was honorably discharged on December 7, 1972.
Troy further his education and attended California State Long Beach and Los Angeles City College and received a degree in Bachelor of Arts Science majoring in Marketing and Business Administration. Troy loved sports especially basketball and football. He was an assistant coach at Sheldon High School in Sacramento California until his death. ln, his spare time Troy enjoyed and loved his sports like basketball, football and listening to music and also spending time with family and friends. He was an Assistant Coach at Sheldon High School up until his timely death.
Troy departed this life on June 15, 2020, he was preceded in death by his mother Jessie B. Myart two sisters Carletta Green and Velma Butler-Franklin. He is survived by his wife Rosie Green son Brian Green six sisters Diana Oliver, Shelia Green, Barbara Nelson, Gloria Peterson, Debororah Giles, and Tanya Henderson, three brothers Roy L. Green, Willie R. Matthews and Robert J. Buter Jr., two uncles Cotra French and Rayborn French. He also has many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. And a great host of friends that loved him and will miss him.
Mr. Green was laid to rest on June 30, 2020. Final arrangements entrusted to Thompson Rose Chapel.
