Vivian Christine Long passed from this life around the 15th of June the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2020.

Mrs. Long was born January 18, 1944 in Murphy, North Carolina to the late Charles and Vaul Cordell.

Vivian lived in Rockwell, North Carolina with her faithful Jack Russell Terrier, Rowdy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Levard Long in 2005. Vivian is survived by her only child and son, Frank L.Long. Jr.; her grandchildren, Brittany Gayle Long,and Joshua Daniel Long. Also, Vivian appreciated and loved her long time friend, Linda Whitley.

Vivian was known by all to be a very caring, generous person. Her family was everything to her. Vivian had a quick witt finding humor in many to pictures of life. Her grandchildren Brittany and Joshua have fond memories of her laughter and sense of humor. She was always making them smile and laugh along with her.

Brittany and Josh both described their Maw-Maw Vivian as an encouraging, loving grandmother who helped them both with life by giving good advice and teaching them many things.

Brittany fondly remembers her Maw-Maw often telling her how proud she was of her and how much she loved her. Brittany will always miss and lover her Maw-Maw Vivian.
Joshua cherishes the memory of joy his Maw-Maw expressed when he brought home, Rowdy, as a puppy. Joshua will always remember Maw-Maw Vivian's wise words when he was upset she would say to forgive others, move on and that times heals all wounds. He will miss and love his Maw-Maw Vivian immensely.

A Graveside service will be on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 10:00 am, located at West Concord Cemetery in Concord.

While working Vivian cared for the elderly, as a Home Companion. She was known to give anyone the shirt off her back. Vivian loved God, witnessed to people and spoke of the Lord Jesus Christ, to everyone.
