He was born July 24, 1949 in Hannibal, Missouri the son of Marvin and Dixie Lou Stark Franklin.
Tommy was a member of the Hunnewell Mission Church, Hunnewell, Missouri. He served his country in the United States military during the Vietnam War. He was a Marion County grain and livestock farmer. He also owned and operated TNT Construction of Palmyra, Missouri. Tommy enjoyed listening to Rock n Roll music, his dogs, working and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He married Ona Bell Castleberry October 25, 2007, she survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons Tony Franklin and Dennis Franklin of Palmyra, Missouri, two sisters Judy Utterback (Mark), Hunnewell, Missouri and Lisa Meyer (Terry) of Green Castle, Missouri. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one Daughter Leslie Willard.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri, Pastor Danny Kinzle will officiate. Graveside services will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Palmyra, Missouri. Visitation will be from 9:00 am Tuesday until time of services at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri. Active pallbearers will be Matt Crane, Derek Crane, Tony Franklin, Mason Franklin, D.J. Beaver and Jeremy McTheeney. Honorary pallbearers will be Franklin Castleberry and Roger Miller. Memorials have been suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Garner Funeral Home & Chapel, Monroe City, Missouri.
