He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edna Jenkins and two brothers, Larry Thompson and Wayne Jenkins.
He was the pastor and a member of Spring Hill Church of Dalton.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jenkins of the residence, daughters and sons-in-law, Jeri Lynn (Brian) Winters of Kansas City, MO and Lacey (Jamie) Barrett of Chatsworth, sister and brother-in-law, Sandy (Dennis) Partin of Dalton, grandchildren, Caleb Mitchell, Gracie Mitchell, Leah Mitchell, Lucas Barrett and Sydni Barrett.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2020 in the Pleasant Grove Chapel with Dale Lawhorne and Richard Steele officiating. Members of the Whitfield County Fire Department and Spring Hill Church will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at Varnell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 5 until 9:00 pm.
