Waynesville, Philip Andrew Miller, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at his residence.

A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Melburn Lee and Edith Teague Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Greene; and a niece Ashley Greene. Philip was a graduate of Tuscola High School and worked at Teague’s Superette for over 40 years. He was a member of Dellwood Baptist Church. He was an avid collector of rocks and gemstones and enjoyed making jewelry and giving them away to family and friends. Philip enjoyed buying and selling at the flea market and loved spending time with his friends at the store and campground.

Philip is survived by three sisters, Anne Strickland, and her husband, Gary, Nancy Rathbone, and her husband, Mitchell, all of Waynesville and Melba Powell, and her husband, Jeff, of Candler; brother-in-law, James Greene, of Lake Junaluska; three nieces, Pat Scarborough, Allison Hicks and Andrea Gilliam; two nephews, Steve Strickland "Strick" and Tyler Rathbone; two great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

Private services will be held at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville with Reverend Barry Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
