Sarah Lydia Griffin is the daughter of William Griffin (1705-1765) and Sarah BECK Griffin (1708-1774). She married Benjamin John Todd, ca. 1750, in Bucks County, Province of Pennsylvania.

Easton was settled by Europeans in 1739 and founded in 1752. Easton is the easternmost city in the Lehigh Valley. Northampton County was formed on March 11, 1752 from parts of Bucks County. Bucks County was created colonial proprietor William Penn in 1682.
