A 1991 graduate of Ottumwa High School, he had attended Indian Hills Community College and William Penn University. He has been employed for 21 years as an I.T. Tech for Ottumwa Regional Health Center. He was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching movies and collecting DVDs.
Surviving is his wife, Felisha; daughters, Faith (John) Tray and Chelsie Gates (fiancé Gunther Hartman) both of Ottumwa; 2 grandchildren, Kenidi and Olivia; his father, Jon Verley of Oregon; two sisters, Rena and Tina; a brother, Jimmy; brothers-in-law, T.J. Mattley, Bobby Joe Madsen Jr. and Justin Madsen; mother-in-law, Janice Morgan; father-in-law, Bob Madsen; aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews; and his fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Vantrese.
His body has been cremated. A time to celebrate his life will be at a later date. Those who wish to sign the register book and leave a memorial may do so from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 15th at Reece Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Humane Society.
