Ocala - Nathan Gene Higgins, 16, passed away on June 13, 2020, in Summerfield, Florida on the eve of his 17th Birthday. He was born on June 14, 2003, in Ocala, Florida to Jonathan James and Amy Doris Higgins. Nathan was a lifetime resident of Marion County.
Nathan always had an interest in sea life, and enjoyed playing games with his friends and family. Nathan Loved country music, and sports. He played baseball and football.
Nathan was a man with a plan. He wanted to become a land Surveyor and was trying to work his way to become a party chief. He toyed with the idea for a while of being a fireman.
Nathan was born into a covenant family and professed his faith in Jesus at a young age. He was a member at Reformed preysbytarian church of Ocala, and loved to sing the Psalms even if it was off key.
Nathan was the type of person to make friends easily, and touched the lives of many people. He gave unselfishly of himself and never expected anything in return. He was our Muscle, and our ray of unending positivity. No matter how tough things became he never let it wear him down.
He was always willing to spend his days off helping others.

He is survived and missed by his loving parents, Jonathan and Amy; brother, Samuel; sisters, Rebekah, Esther; grandparents, Gary and Nancy Higgins, Jolinda Jones, and the many friends he made in his life.

Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Reed Best officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Arrangements under the care of Countryside Funeral Home, Anthony, FL
