Theodora Oxenbridge, only child of Rev. John Oxenbridge and his second wife Frances Woodward, b. in England July 25, 1659. She d. at Milton, Mass. Nov. 18, 1697, Æ 39.
Her gravestone inscription says:
"Mrs. Theodora Thacher ye daughter of ye Rev'd Mr John Oxenbridge Past'r of ye First Church in Boston & Wife of Mr. Peter Thacher aged 38 years 3 months 25 days was Translated from Earth to Heaven Nov'r ye 18th 1697."
Theodora m. Rev. Peter Thacher on Nov. 21, 1677 probably in Boston where her father had been pastor of the Boston First Church (d. Dec. 28, 1674) and where his father was then pastor of the Boston 3rd (Old South) Church. They had at least eight children, who are outlined in their father's memorial.
