September 24, 1946 - April 09, 2020

Robert Glen Emerson, 73, of Vivian, LA went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 9, 2020. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM, on Friday, June 26th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, LA. There will be a time of visitation from from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA.

Glen was born September 24, 1946 in Coushatta, LA to Milton and Marie Emerson, and lived in Vivian for the past 27 years after moving from Blanchard.

Glen and Bonnie married on October 15, 1965. Glen served in Vietnam in the US Army. After serving his country he was employed with SWEPCO for 43 years. He was a very active member of the IBEW Union Local 329. He was a member of Shreveport H.O.G. Chapter. He will be remembered as a generous man and was always available to help anyone that needed it. He loved playing softball and played into his 40’s. Bonnie and Glen enjoyed motorcycle riding, RVing and spending time with their children and their families.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents Milton and Marie Emerson, and his brother Ray Emerson.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie Roan Emerson of Vivian, LA, his daughter Michelle Emerson Sepulvado and husband Todd of Monroe, LA, his son Robert Sean Emerson and wife Amber of Nashville, TN, his sisters, Peggy Sembach of Houston, TX, and Gloria Green of Crosby, TX, his grandchildren, Skylar and Christina Sepulvado, Asher, Reece, and Maya Emerson, his great grandchild Elisha Sepulvado, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
