Daughter of Karl and Magdalena Prange (nee Poldrack).
Magdalena Poldrack arrived with her parents at Portland, Victoria on 25 November 1855 on the 'Bielefeld' from Hamburg and moved to Mount Gambier in 1856. They was back in Victoria in Hamilton, Victoria by 1858.
Magdalena married Karl on 23 November 1860 at the Lutheran Evangelical Church, Hochkirch. After farming around the Hamilton and Hochkirch districts they moved back to the Mt Gambier district where Louisa was born in 1867 at Yahl Paddock, 7 km southwest of Mount Gambier. The family was in Penola, South Australia in 1872 and were back in the Horsham district by 1875.
They were living at Pimpinio, 18 km North West of Horsham when Louisa married Robert George Forsythe at her parents' farm on 29 July 1892.
Louisa and Robert moved to Fremantle about 1897 with their three children.
She died at the Fremantle Hospital in 1945.
