Sharon Mack 76, of Eden Prairie, MN formerly of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 19, 2020 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

A Visitation took place on Thursday, June 18, 2020 in Thief River Falls,. Visitation also was prior to the funeral service on Friday at the church.

Sharon Lee Wicklander was born July 3, 1943 in Crookston, MN the fourth of six children born to Loyd and Cora (Lussier) Wicklander. She was baptized into the Catholic faith in Crookston and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseau, MN. Sharon attended school in Roseau graduating with the class of 1961. Following high school, Sharon moved to Thief River Falls, MN where she attended the AVTI for Accounting. There she met the love of her life Clayton Mack.

Sharon and Clayton were married on June 19, 1965 at Falun Catholic Church, Falun Township, Roseau County, MN. To this union three children were born, Kim, Kelly, and Todd.

The couple made their home in Thief River Falls 1966 to 1971 and Sharon started working in her accounting career. They moved to Fergus Falls in 1971 where she continued working in the accounting field. In 1975, they moved back to Thief River Falls, where she began work for Nesland Accounting which eventually became Winter Accounting. Her expertise in payroll eventually led her to a career at Digi-Key where Sharon worked from March 31, 1989 until her retirement May 26, 2011.

Sharon and Clayton loved fishing, camping, golf cart rides and drinking beer at their place on Union Lake near Erskine, MN where she went for 18 years. She also enjoyed reading, watching hockey, following the grandkids sports, betting with the grandsons on the Super Bowl, playing bingo and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Sharon and Clayton enjoyed 46 years of marriage and after his death in 2011, Sharon started to do some traveling which included trips to Branson, East Coast, Alaskan cruise with Kenny and the Bushy Family, West Yellowstone and to Florida in the winter to visit her brother, Larry and sister-in-law Mary. She moved to the Twin Cities in July of 2018 which was a new adventure for her.

She was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Thief River Falls and was active with Church Circle. Sharon volunteered at Sanford Hospital and especially enjoyed her working days for her son, Todd at Edward Jones.

Survivors include her loving children, Kim (Tom), Kelly (Skyler) and Todd (Rhonda); grand-children, Sarah (Sean), Justin, Kyle (fiancé, Jo’beth), Rachel, Brandon and Alanah; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Logan; brothers, Larry (Mary), Ken and Michael; brothers & sisters-in-law, Cliff (Micky), Audrey (Ed) and Beverly (Joe); many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; parents; sister, Loris (Jack) Hebel; brother, Allan Wicklander; and sister-in-law, Sharon Wicklander.
